Welcome
Taigh Alasdair is a traditional stone-built croft house situated in the crofting township of Peinchorran in the Braes area of Skye
It sits in its own private garden with off-road parking.
The house has magnificent views of Raasay and the Inner Sound of Raasay and looks onto the mainland of Scotland. You can also see Glamaig in the Red Cuillin Range and the Black Cuillins.
From Peinchorran you can walk along the north shoreline of Loch Sligachan to Sligachan Hotel or around to the east to the Inner Sound of Raasay. Braes has a lovely sandy beach at Aird which is only one mile from the house. Braes is a quiet spot to end your day after sightseeing, walking or climbing. It is also a good place to see wildlife.
Portree, 9 miles to the north, is the nearest town and has a good range of shops.

The renovation of Taigh Alasdair is completed. It is currently available to book for weekly lets. The house is now a 2 bedroomed cottage with a large extension which is an open plan sitting room with fitted kitchen and dining space. There is a wood burning stove in this living space.

Currently, we charge £840 per week, but the rate is reduced in the winter, please check the booking calendar for the latest prices and offers.
We don’t usually do shorter breaks, but it may be worth contacting us, as you never know your luck, especially if it is low season.
